Reunions

I met my friends from high school yesterday after a long separation. Some friends go to university outside Kumamoto prefecture, so we hardly meet often. First, I went to my friend's house. There were four friends in the house. It has been a long time since I last met them, so I was glad to meet them. We went to downtown to meet another 7 friends. Then we went to eat dinner.

We talked a lot and laughed a lot. It was really great time. After that, four friends and I went to Karaoke. We stayed there for about 6 hours. We entered the Karaoke at midnight, but it was at a morning that we went out from the karaoke.

The dinner and the karaoke were fun!! I want to meet them again as soon as possible.

August 19th

Hello, everyone. Today, Koshiien's quarterfinal game was held. Kyusyu-gakuin fought against Tokaidai-sagami. Kyusyu-gakuin's pitch is Watanabe and Tokaidai-sagami's pitch is Hifumi.
Tokaidai-sagami jumped on Watanabe for a run in the first inning. Tokaidai-sagami scored another runs in the third, the fifth, the eighth and the ninth. There was an accident in the sixth. Kyusyu-gakuin's Watanabe smacked on his left arm with a comebacker by Oshiro and yanked. Finally, Tokaidai-sagami beat Kyusyu-gakuin, 10-3.
It was exciting game. If Watanabe didn't yanked, Kyusyu-gakuin had more chance to score more runs. However, I think Kyusyu-gakuin put up a good fight. It was a good koshien.

August 16th

Kyusyu-gakuin fought against Kagoshima-jitsugyou on August 16th.

In the top of the third, Kyusyu-gakuin's right fielder named I, ripped two-run single to right to get on the board first. Yamashita scored the third run of the inning with a single to left. Then, Hagiwara also scored the fourth run of the inning with a single to right, staking Kyusyu-gakuin to a 4-0 lead. After that, Kagoshima jitsugyou scored three runs in the bottom of the forth inning. Then, Kyusyu-gakuin jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the top of the eighth inning on a suicide squeeze by Simoda. In the bottom of the eighth, Kagoshima-jitsugyou scored another run with a double by Hamada. That sliced Kyusyu-gakuin's lead to 7-5. In the next inning, Kagoshima-jitsugyou tied it up with a single to center by Youkai and an infield dribbler by Kawasaki. Kyusyu-gakuin's Shimoda drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the tenth inning to give the Kyusyu-gakuin a 8-7 lead they would maintain until the end.

Kyusyu-gakuin beat Kagoshima-jitsugyou, 8-7.

Kyusyu-gakuin's next game will held on August 19th and Kyusyu-gakuin will play against Tokaidai-sagami of Kanagawa prefecture.

August 14th&15th

On August 14th, I went to my grandmother's house with my family. We left our home at half past 13 and dropped into a convenience store to buy our lunch on our way. I chose a spicy cold noodle and a rice ball. The noodle was little hot, but it was good. We got to my grandmother's house at half past 14. Then, My uncle, my aunt and my cousin came to my grandmother's house. My uncle's family live in Neyagawa City in Osaka Prefecture, so they speak with a Osaka accent. My mother, two sisters and I went shopping to buy something to drink. After that, my uncle's family and my family ate out for dinner. I ate a lot. We came back to the house at past 20. Then, my two sisters, my cousin and I played lighting up fireworks at a garden of my grandmother's house. It was interesting and beautiful. I stayed at the house the day.

The next day, my mother, sisters and I went shopping in the morning. I didn't buy anything. In the evening of the day, my elder sister and I came home by train. We took a train at Higo-ozu station and got off the train at Minami-kumamoto station. We dropped into a convenience store to buy some food for our lunch and dinner. Finally, we got to my home at half past 14.

By the way, my grandmother's house is in Ozu in Kumamoto prefecture. This place name "Ozu" was named by Kato Kiyomasa in the Edo Era. Kato Kiyomasa was a daimyo of Kumamoto prefecture in the Edo Era and named Ozu after Otsu which is a place name in Shiga prefecture.

I didn't know that, so I was surprised at that. Ozu and Otsu are different from pronunciation, but use same Kanji.

Friday the 13th

13 is the ominous number in the English-speaking world, France, Germany and so on, so Friday the 13th is the ominous day. It is Friday the 13th today, so something strange might happen. It is also the day of Kyusyu-gakuin's match. I thought Kyusyu-gakuin might lose the game, but It was a wrong guess. Kyusyu-gakuin won the game, 7-0.

Kyusyu-gakuin got the opening scores with Yamashita's two-run double in the bottom of the third.Kyusyu-gakuin's pitcher, watanabe pitched a complete game four-hit shutout. On the other hand, Yamagata-chuou's pitcher, Yokoyama gave up four walks and four hits by pitches.

Kyusyu-gakuin's next game will held on August 16th. Kyusyu-gakuin will fight against Kagishima-jitsugyou. I want Kyusui-gakuin to beat Kagoshima-jitsugyou.

August 12th

Today, I had my hair cut in the morning. Then, I went to CLAIR in the evening. I bought a comic and a shoelace there. After that, I purchased two bottles of juice and went to food court to eat Takoyaki. It was hot for me to eat it. The takoyaki was covered with cheese. I knew it for the first time, so I ordered it. I don't dislike it however I like ordinary Takoyaki better than takoyaki which I ate today. After I went home, I read the comic. It was interesting. I laughed over the comic.

By the way, I saw Gakky in CLAIR, but I couldn't speak with him. I surprised to come across him. I didn't think I ran into him there. I should have talked to him.

August 7th

Do you know rissyu?

August 7th was rissyu. It is the first day of autumn.

According to the calender, it is already autumn! However, it is hot and humid, so I perspire though I am in my home.

By the way, a typhoon is approaching the Kyusyu district. The wind blew at speeds of up to 35 meters per second. We need to be careful about strong winds, high waves and heavy rains.

Koshien

Japanese High School Baseball Championship is called Koshien in Japanese. Koshien is the national baseball tournament for high school students and one of typical Japanese scenes. The tournament opened the day before yesterday. Kumamoto prefecture's represent team is Kyusyu-gakuin high school, because they won the regional tournament of Kumamoto prefecture.

After an opening ceremony, Kyusyu-gakuin faced Matsumoto-Kougyou high school. The game was the opening game. Kyusyu-gakuin pounded out18 hits including 5 extra bass hits in a 14-1 victory over Matsumoto-Kougyou high school. Kyusyu-gakuin's Watanabe pitched solid nine innings.

Kyusyu-gakuin's next game is held on this Friday. Kyusyu-gakuin play against Yamagata-chuou high school of Yamagata prefecture in a next match. The match will start at half past thirteen. I want Kyusyu-gakuin high school to win again.

The summer festival

Today, the summer festival was held at a park which is in front of my home. The summer festival is annual events in my city. There were a lot of people in the park. The summer festival was organized by the town council.

There were kakigoori(shaved ice flavored with syrup) stand, yakitori(grilled chicken) stand in the park. I ate kakigoori(picture's one) and yakitori. They were so delicious. In addition, the kakigoori was only 100 yen. It was cheap, so I ate it every year.

In the festival, there was a bon dance. Bon dance is a Japanese traditional dance which is danced in summer festival. I used to take part in the bon dance when I was an elementary schoolchild. There was a lottery in the festival and I got a pack of trash bags.

It was a good summer festival. I want to go to the summer festival next year, too.

Fireworks

Yesterday, there was a display of fireworks on Fujisakidai, but I didn't go to see the fireworks, because I found that I could see them from my home without expressly going to see them. The fireworks which I saw from my home were little small but beautiful.

Last year, I went to Ninomaru Park to see the display of fireworks with my friends. There was a large crowd in the Ninomaru Park. My friend and I searched a place for seeing the fireworks. Finally, We could see the fireworks but we were in a large crowd. We had good time.

Summer vacation started

All tests finished today, so summer vacation has started.
I took politics' test on fifth period.
I could use any handouts for reference in the test, so I had not studied at all.

By the way, I have a lots of thing which I want to do during summer vacation, because there are many exiting events in summer. I want to go to summer festival and see fireworks. I also want to keep blogging. The more I publish posts during summer vacation, the easier 2nd semester's blogging is, so I'll do my best in summer vacation.
