TEST

I have a test on tomorrow. It is the last test in this semester. It is on the first period, so I must be careful not to be late for the test. Last week, I was more than about 20 minutes late for a test, because I have overslept that day. When I came into the classroom was in the middle of the test. If I had slept 10 minutes more, I could not take the exam, because person who is late more than 30 minutes can't enter the room. I almost became like that.

I'll do the best.

Soccer

Japan won AFC Asian Cup and became Asia champion.

I watched the game on TV yesterday and was very exciting.

The game began at 0:00 a.m. Japan time, on January 30. Both team remained scoreless after 90 minutes The game went into extra time. In the 19th minutes of extra time, Lee scored on a diving kick. Japan defeated Australia 1-0.

I was very happy at the final whistle. I'm glad to cheer Japan until the game ended.

Writing exam

Developing awareness

I learned various things in fall semester. For example, I learned how to write longer sentences, because in the Essays in fall semester, I wrote sentences longer than spring semester. I posted more posts than spring semester. Another thing I learned in fall semester is importance of comments, because I could improve and revise my essay due to the comments. They let me know mistakes in my blog, especially in essays, so I could correct the mistakes and my essays became better acquainted.

Facing Challenges

Facing challenges in fall semester are when I don’t know how to say something in English. I consulted my dictionary and did a search on the Internet whenever I faced such a problem.
Another challenges are typing homework. At first, I couldn’t type when I did weekly typing homework, but the more I did the homework, the faster I became to type.

Achieving Satisfaction

I’m satisfied with my online writing. I think I have achieved my personal satisfaction, because I wrote many kinds of subjects and posted more than 15000 words on my blog this semester. I wrote about music I like, my favorite place etc. I also wrote in my diary and introduce my favorite musicians on my blog.

BR 2-18: The Game

I read The Game this week. I chose it because it looked interesting. There are 5 chapters in it. The first chapter is "Get Me out!" The second chapter is Run. The third chapter is Control Tower. The next chapter is Cyborg. The final chapter is Shut Down.

Brad sat sleeping in front of the computer. When he opened his eyes, Michael was on the screen. Michael said "Brad, come in.... It's Michael. I need your help!" Brad noticed a red light was flashing on his keyboard. He pushed the red button. Suddenly, Brad was then sucked into the game. He landed on the ground. Michael ran over to Brad. Michael said "ran as fast as you can!" Two boys ran into a cave. Brad had a disk to shut down the game. They ran to the control tower. Could they shut down the game and get out of the game?

I recommend it because it was interesting story. I felt a sense of urgency when I read the following sentence. "Suddenly, a giant foot landed on the ground in front of Brad. A red laser blasted a rock behind his head"(Millet, 2007, p.11).

BR 2-17: Battle Of The Bands

I read "Battle Of The Bands" this week. I chose it because its story seemed to be related to music. There are 4 chapters in it. The first chapter is Waiting. The second chapter is No Way! The next chapter is "Forever" The final chapter is And the Winner Is.... I'm going to summarizing it briefly.

Molly and her band Street Smart were waiting to perform their song. Jasmine, their drummer, was nervous. Suddenly, Mark and his band Wild Ride came there. After that, Wild Ride had a turn performing. Molly and Jasmine watched their performance. Their performance was just loud. Then, it was Street Smart's turn. Molly and her band members were onto the stage. However, suddenly, when they were about to play their song, the power turned off. No sound came out from the speakers. Molly had an idea. Molly would sing a silent song that can play without the power. She sang a beautiful song unlike Wild Wide. After Molly’s band left the stage, the power came back on. Finally, Mr. Williams who is a Molly’s teacher, cried a winner. Which band won the contest?

I recommend this book. I could enjoy the story. It was interesting story. I was interested in the sentence "Jasmine, their drummer, had butterflies in her stomach" (Millet, 2007, p.4). I didn’t know such a expression. I thought it was interesting expression.
