Essay 2-01c: My House Living with Girls

I'm going to tell you about my favorite place. I think everybody has their favorite place. My favorite place is my home. I like my home the best, because I feel comfortable when I stay at my home and do things that I like. There are many things that I like in my home.

My home is in Kumamoto City. It takes about twenty minutes from my home to KGU. My home is an apartment. It has five floors and I live in the fourth floor. There are 3 rooms in my house. My home is pretty small. My apartment looks white. There is a parking in front of my apartment and there is a small park near by my home. When I was a little, I used to play baseball with my friends there. There are many stores near my home. For example, there is a Seven-eleven, a Sun-live, a Hachiouzi-center, and Direx.

In my home I like my room especially. My room's wall's color is white. In my room, I read comics and listen to music and play the guitar and study. My favorite comic is Gintama. I have 35 comics of Gintama in my room. I like the moment of playing the guitar, because I like to play the guitar. I sometimes play the bass guitar at my home. I also like music, so I sometimes study listening to music.

There is not any computer in my room, so I cannot use a computer in my room. My computer is in a living room, so I usually use a computer for internet in the living room. I enjoy browsing with my computer there. I like reading news items on the internet and watching movies on YouTube. I also do homework with the computer.

I'm sharing my room with my two sisters. My sisters and I watch DVDs and listen to music together. In my room, there are three desks. I lend my CDs to my younger sister. My sisters and I sleep in the same room.

I like my home. I'm pleased that it is a small house. My home looks white. The building has five stories. In my room, I play the guitar and browse with my computer and listen to music I like. I'm sharing my room with my two sisters. As you can see, my favorite place is my home.

BR 2-08: Venus Bay

I read Venus Bay. I chose it because it looked interesting. There are four chapters in it. The first chapter is A Simple Fact. The second chapter is Into the Sea. The third chapter is The Search. The final chapter is The Hospital.

There are three people in this book, Holly, Jake and their father. The family went to Venus Bay by a car. Jake is elder than Holly. Holly didn’t like Jake, because Jake had decided that Holly was weak. Jake and Holly both had never surfed before, Holly wanted to be the first one to ride a wave. However, Jake was up on his board surfing, while Holly couldn’t stand up on hers. Suddenly, a big wave hit Jake and he fall off his board. He was pulled into a hole in the bottom. Holly saw that. Can she save her brother??

I recommend this book because it is impressive. It was good story. One thing which I minded in it was illustrations. The illustrations in it were strange. For example, person in it has only four fingers. I felt strange that.

Folding paper

I made folding papers on Speaking class. First of all, we split up into two groups. Then one group stayed at a room and the other group moved to another room. Then, each groups learned how to make a something with paper. After that, the two groups joined together and each person paired off into couple. Then, one person of each pairs told his or her partner how to make a paper wallet in English and the partner made a paper wallet along the instructions. Then, the partner told the other person how to make a paper penguin in English and the person made a paper penguin along the instructions.
It was too difficult for me to teach how to make a paper wallet in English. It was also difficult to fold paper listening to English instructions. My pair finished earlier than other classmates, so I made Pakkuncho and a paper crane. I used to make and play with it when I was an elementary school student. After the activity, I went back to my original group. I made a paper crane again. Finally, we took pictures. It was interesting class.

A New battery 2

I forgot writing about a new battery of my mobile phone. I wrote about it before. My cell phone's battery was something wrong. My cell phone's battery ran out quickly, so I have ordered a new cell phone battery. Then, I got the new one about 5 days ago. Now I’m using it. It is completely different from the old battery. I can use my cell phone for long time. I knew how the old battery has weakened. I decreased the number of times I charge my cell phone. I used to charge my cell phone three times a day when it is a holiday. I couldn’t use my cell phone satisfyingly. However, now I can use it satisfyingly. I'm satisfied with the new battery.

I read I wish this week. I chose it because it looked interesting. There are five chapters in it. The first chapter is A holiday. The second chapter is Across the Pacific The third chapter is A bad Storm. The fourth chapter is A small Island. The final chapter is A big Bottle.

The characters were three students Pele, Ron and Pete. They got tired of going to their school. One day, "Why don't we run away to the Pacific Ocean fo our holidays?" Pete suggested. They decided to use Ron's uncle's yacht, because he was not using it. A week later, they were sailing across the Pacific Ocean. However, they were caught in a big storm. The boat rolled upside down. They found a small island.

I recommend it because it is easy to read. There were few words which I don't know the meaning. Ending of this story was surprising. I laughed at it.

I’m learning English. I have learned French last year. I would like to learn French one more year, but I couldn’t take the French class because there is Writing class at the same period to the French class. It was interesting for me to learn French, but it was pity for me that I could not take the French class. French is similar to English in grammar. I want to drive a car, but I couldn’t because I don’t have a driver's license. I really want one. By the way, My family used to use a station wagon, but it was broken in a car accident, so we bought a used car.

I read Making Headlines. I chose it because it looked interesting. There are 4 chapters in this book. The first chapter is The Newspaper. The second chapter is Good Headlines. The third chapter is Following the Story. The final chapter is Snapped!

A hero is Magee. His teacher made him help out on the school newspaper for the next month, because he didn't listened to the teacher all day. He worked with Tilly who was the editor and reporter. She was good at everything. When they walked over to the newspaper room, they saw Brad Biggens sneaking into the office. They thought it was a good story for the newspaper. In another day, Tilly came to the newspaper room and said to Magee that she saw Brad again. They raced outside and found Brad. He pushed his jacket into the hedge at the back of the school grounds. Tilly and Magee saw what Brad hided after Brad disappeared. There are two notebook computers from the school office, so they were convinced that Brad stole them. Finally, ｔhey planned to catch him and can Magee and Tilly make interesting headlines.

I recommend this book because it was interesting. I thought it was interesting the headlines which Magee made at last.

BR 2-05: My Best Friend's a Genius

I read My Best Friend's a Genius. I chose it because its title looked funny. There are 4 chapters in this book. The first chapter is The Boy Genius. The second chapter is The Hyper Phone. The third chapter is Talking to Aliens? The final chapter is The Future.

A hero is Gary. He has his best friend, Miles. Miles is a genius. He invents things like flying skateboards, computer-controlled mouse-traps and automatic toilet flushers. He's really smart-super brainy but Gary is not a genius. He doesn't invent things.
One day, Miles invented a hyper phone. It's a mobile phone that let a person talk to aliens. He tried to call alien, but he didn't know a phone number so he couldn't do that. Then, Gary and Miles heard voice speaking from the phone. "Where are you and where are you from??"

I recommend this book, because it easy to read. There are a few words which I don't know the meaning.

My favorite dessert

I'm going to tell you about my favorite dessert. My favorite dessert is ice cream. Ice cream has a lot of kinds of flavor. I like vanilla flavor and strawberry flavor. However, I choose vanilla more than strawberry. I usually eat ice cream after I take a bath because after taking a bath I'm hot. When it is hot like summer, I also eat ice cream. Ice cream which I first ate is vanilla, so I like vanilla. I liked strawberry, so I tried to eat a strawberry flavored ice cream. It was so delicious, so I liked it. I came to choose a strawberry ice cream from then. As you can see, my favorite dessert is ice cream.

I'm going to tell you about my favorite candy. My favorite candy is fruit-tasted candy, especially apple-tasted candy and Otoko-ume candy. I like fruit, so I like fruit-tasted candy. There are sometimes some kinds of candy in my home, because my mother bought them. I eat candy when I study for an exam. Then I knew a candy which taste good when I study for the exams eating candy. It is Otoko-ume candy. It tastes like a pickled ume, so it is sour but it taste good very much. My little sister recommended me it and gave an Otoko-ume candy. I ate it and thought it was a good candy. I also recommend the Otoko-ume candy. As you can see, I like fruit-tasted candy and Otoko-ume candy the best.

I had only one class today. Actually, I have only one class on Wednesday. It is on second period, so I do homework after the class. Today, I did Book Review homework.

I went home at about 2, then I turned TV on. I saw Miyane-ya which is a news show. I knew that rescue operation had already started. The third mine cave-in's victim was just rescued from underground mine when I was watching the news show. It was a moving scene. I hope that all of victims are saved in safety. It had been 69 days since the mine cave-in occurred.

I read TRAPPED this week. I chose it because its cover looks funny. There are five chapters in this book. Chapter 1 is Survival. Chapter 2 is Trapped!. Chapter 3 is No ship to signal. Chapter 4 is Bathroom Blues. The final chapter is SOS. There were a lot of words which I didn't know the meaning, so I consult a dictionary many times.

A hero is Tom. He got tired of learning about survival in his school. He thought that it was not likely he'd ever be stranded on a deserted island. One day after basketball practice, he is in a cubicle alone. It was nearly six o'clock. Then, BANG! A loud noise echoed from somewhere outside the bathroom. The cubicle's door was shut tight. He was locked in the cubicle.

I recommend it because it is interesting though there are a lot of words which I didn't know the meaning.

A new battery

Recently, something is wrong with my cell phone. My cell phone’s battery runs out quickly. When I use the cell phone, I can use it for only 30 minutes, so I ordered a new battery yesterday on internet. I had not known that I could order the new battery on internet, so I surprised that. The new battery will arrive about a week later. I want to get it early. By the way, the new battery is free, because it is a service of au. I used my cell phone more than a year, so I could get a new battery. If I use my cell phone more than 3 years, I can get a new battery more. However, I won't use my cell phone more than 2 years. My cell phone's response is slow. I want a new cell phone now if I can, but I can't, because I must use my cell phone more than 2 years on a contract. If I want to change my cell phone, I must pay extra charge. I don't want to pay that, so I cannot get a new cell phone. I can get it on next June, so I have to use my cell phone until next June.

My favorite season is winter. I don't like summer. In other words, I don't like the heat. I'm poor in heat. I usually go to KGU by a bicycle, so I sweat profusely in summer. I don't want to go out side during summer. However, in winter, I don't have to worry about sweat. In addition, winter has many interesting things. There are Christmas and the New year in winter. I like them because I can eat a lot of delicious dishes. I can put up with the cold, but I cannot stand the heat. I don't dislike Spring and fall, but I like winter better the best. Now, I'm looking forward to coming winter.

Today, I had a Philosophy's make-up class on second period, so I got up earlier than usual Saturday. I left my home earlier than usual, because it had looked like rain. Then, I went to a classroom which was used for Philosophy's make-up class. I was surprised at the number of people, because there were about 1o people in the room. Philosophy is interesting but it is hard for me to understand it.

After the class, I dropped into a CD shop. I bought two used CDs. They cost only 200 yen, so I thought it was reasonable and purchased them.

A hero of this book is a boy named Danny. He is very very skinny, so his friends called him Bones. He is skinny but he talked more and laughed louder than anyone. He was popular. However, he was not good at sports. On the other hand, his best friend, Eddy was good at everything. Danny tried to be like Eddy. One day, Danny decided to take part in the schools' cross country. He started training. Finally, race day came.

I recommend this book because story was good.

My favorite drink

My favorite drink is CALPIS soda. It is a drink which includes normal Calpis and soda. I like normal Calpis too, but I like Calpis soda better than normal Calpis. When I buy a drink, I often select Calpis soda if there is it. If there are no Calpis soda, I choose Fanta Grape, because I like it the second best. I like Fanta grape better than Fanta orange. I like real orange, but I don't like orange juice very much. I could not drink black coffee, because it is too bitter for me. I like milk tea better than coffee. I respect a person who can drink black coffee. I put a lot of sugar in the coffee when I drink coffee. I like sweet coffee. My favorite milk tea is Kochakaden. I like royal milk tea, because it tastes sweet. I drank it yesterday. It was cold yesterday, so I chose hot milk tea yesterday. After drinking hot milk tea, my body got warmer. Hot milk tea is the best drink when it is cold. It gradually gets colder from now on, so I will drink a lot of hot drink, especially hot milk tea. I think Calpis soda is suited to summer and hot milk tea is suited to winter

I went to Hikarinomori with my mother and two sisters. We left our home at 1 in the evening and we got to Hikarinomori at about 2. We looked at clothes and CDs. After that, We ate lunch there. Then, we bought breads and went home. After we arrived at my home, my mother got off a car and my two sisters and I went to CLAIR directly. We first went to a clothes shop to buy clothes. My sister bought clothes there. After that, we saw some shops in CLAIR. I bought a book at TSUTAYA in CLAIR. Finally, We bought some food for dinner and went home. I was little tired but that was a good holiday.

I read Goal!. I chose it because there was a picture of soccer on its cover. I'm interested in sports. There are 4 chapters in this book. There were a few words which I didn't know the meaning. I think the highlight of it is teamwork. A hero of it is Nathan. He is good at playing the soccer very much, but he has a big problem. He is deaf. His friend, Geoffrey took Nathan to a soccer team to which Geoffrey belongs, and Nathan entered the soccer game. But at first half, Nathan couldn't play well, because his teammates didn't know that he was deaf. Anyway, could he play an active part in the game??
I recommend it because it was interesting. I thought that teamworks of Nathan's team was good.
