BR 2-13: Shipwreck

I read Shipwreck this week. A CD is attached with the book.

Milly and Matt had been sailing many times with their parents. The day the family left port was warm and sunny. For the first five days, the weather stayed fine, and the sea was calm. Suddenly, on the afternoon of the sixth day, black clouds loomed in the sky and the sea began to swell. Their yacht started to roll wildly and hit a reef. They had to abandon the ship. Milly and Matt took the life raft their parents took the other life raft. The next morning, Milly and Matt were in a beach of a island. However, there are not their parents. Where are their mother and father.
I recommend this book. It is easy for me to understand.

I went to Yusuke's house with Ryo in the evening. We intended to watch a DVD of a movie, but we enjoyed YouTube on Internet. We also enjoyed talking. After that, Yusuke and I went to Hirose to buy the ingredients for dinner. Ryo looked after the house while Yusuke and I were going to Hirose. We bought a bottle of juice, a pack of Chinese chive, a pack of bean sprout and some seasoning. We met Mitsuru in Hirose. He was working at the register. After that a short time later, we met Takuya, too. Mitsuru was surprised when he noticed us, but Takuya was cool when he noticed us. Then we talked a little and went back to Yusuke's house. After arrived at the house, we started cooking.

First of all, we cooked rice. Then, we peeled onions and cut them into thin. Then put them into a pot and fried until they became pliant. While we were frying sliced onions, we prepared carrots, potatoes and beef. Carrots and potatoes were cut into a bite size. Then put the carrots, potatoes and beef into the pot. After we fried them for another minutes, put water into the pot and stewed for about 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, put curry roux into the pot and stewed for another minutes. We added a small amount of vegetable juice in the pot as a hidden flavor. Then put curry onto rice, it was ready. We made another dish. It was easy one. We put Chinese chive, bean sprout and beef into a pan and fried them. Then, put seasoning into the pan, it was also ready.

We ate them. The taste was great. I really liked it. I thought it was good to have put vegetable juice into curry. Sautéed vegetables were also good. I had a refill of curry and rice. Ryota came to Yusuke’s house and ate curry and rice we made. He seemed to like it. I had fun very much. Thank you for reading:)

Essay 2-02b: My Three Experiences

I’m going to tell you about my language learning experiences. I have studied three languages including Japanese before. I have learned English, French and Japanese. I started studying English when I was a junior high school student. I learned Japanese in an elementary school, junior high school and high school. French started when last year and I studied it for a year.

I first learned English when I was a freshman of a junior high school. Before a first English class, I was waiting for the class with eager anticipation. I was looking forward to studying English because that was my first time to study foreign language. I first learned how to read and write alphabet. A sentence which I first studied is “Hi, I am Yuki.” My teacher made me remember sentences in a textbook. In the junior high school, I learned basic grammar and pronunciation. I learned English in a high school, too. In the high school, I learned about more applied English than junior high. I came to read longer sentences. I improved my vocabulary. I studied for National Center Test for University Admission, so I solved a lot of English problems. I like studying English. It is interesting for me to learn English.

There is a Japanese class in a Japanese school. I have been learning Japanese from elementary school to high school. In the class, I learned a lot of things related to Japanese. For example, I studied Kanji. I must remember readings and how to write of Kanji. To remember them, I wrote them down again and again. I don't like kanji. It was hard for me to remember a lot of kanji.

I started studying French when I entered KGU, because I selected French as the second language. In the first French class, I learned about pronunciation of alphabet. French and English both use the same characters, but pronunciation is difference. It is difficult for me to pronounce French “r” sound. I wanted to learn French one more year, but I couldn’t take the French class because there is Writing class at the same period to French class. It was interesting for me to learn French, but it was pity for me that I could not take French class. French is similar to English in grammar. There are words that are like English words in French. I think French is more difficult than English, because French has muscline noun and feminine noun. When I remember French words, I must know if the each words is muscle noun or feminine noun. I don't want to take French next year. Actually, it is last year that I learned French, so I don't remember French now. I liked studying French. It was good for me to learn language other than English. My favorite French word is "Bonjour" It means "hello" in English. In addition, I like French words including "ç" because I feel French words when I see "ç"

As you can see, I have learned three languages which are English, French and Japanese before. I first learned English when I was a junior high school student. I first learned Alphabet. I studied French last year. I have been studying Japanese for 12 years. My favorite language is English, because English expressions are interesting for me. I don't have language which I want to study, because I don't understand even English. I want to know English more.

My favorite club

My favorite club is baseball club. I have belonged to a baseball club for 6 years. I first joined a baseball club when I was 10 years old. I played catch then. My elementary school's baseball practice always started with running. After that, we played catch. Then, we started another activities. I like batting practice because I like batting, but I was not good at batting then. I made practice swings in a park in front of my house after the club.

I was a pitcher at first, but I was fired because I could not win a practice game. I was converted from pitcher to a first baseman. I liked it because I didn't have to be as nervous as when I was pitcher. After I became a junior high school student, I entered a baseball club and was a first baseman. After seniors retired, I became pitcher again. In addition, my coach made me a under hand pitcher. I was forced to run round my school ground to improve the muscles of the lower body, because they are very important for pitchers. However I was not good at running over a long distance. I didn't enter baseball club when I was a high school student.

Activities in baseball club were good memory for me. I think it was good for me to have belonged to baseball club.
Thank you for reading:)
