A Happy New Year!!

I ate Osechi dishes which are Japanese traditional new year's dishes, in the morning of Junuary 1st. I also ate Ozoni which is soy-sauce-tasted soup containing rice cakes, white radishes and so on. After I finished eating the breakfast, I went to my grandmother's house in Ozu , Kumamoto Prefecture with my family. The snow in Kumamoto City melted away, so there was few snow in Kumamoto City. However, there is still a lot of snow in the garden of my grandmother's house. I made a snowman with my younger sister. I have never made such a big snowman. It was about one meter high. My sister and I didn't have gloves, so we made the snowman with bare hands. I lost all feeling in my hands. My hands were very cold after we made the snowman. We stuck a carrot into the snowman as the nose of the snowman. I'm glad I made the snowman well. It was a good experience for me. In this time I learned one thing. It is that we need gloves when we make snowman.
